Stanley Park is home to the wonderfully upkept Rose Garden which has 50 rose species meticulously cared for by park gardeners and to the Vancouver Aquarium, a non-profit institution with 7000 species of marine animals dedicated to conservation, rehabilitation and research. During the summer time, the well-cared-for horses gallivant about with a carriage of foreign visitors touring around the beautiful Stanley Park Seawall which took 60 years to build, from 1929-1990 with stops at each of the attractions aforementioned. It’s a delight for kids, families and seniors alike. Did you know Stanley Park is the largest civic park in all of North America, and about 10% larger in land area compared to New York City’s Central Park?
